With his mother in the Bedlam, Charles has become depressed and loses the house after piling debts. Cherry is the only remaining girl, who sticks beside him no matter his dire circumstances. Charles couldn't care less; however, and despite once telling Cherry that he would "never leave her", he does just that to escape prison.
Now without a house, Cherry is selling condoms in the street.
